This week?s teacher feature is Mr. Roberts, our ESL teacher. Mr. Kevin Roberts was born on April 14,1959 in Sioux City, Iowa. His best memory from his childhood was his family and fishing trips. Mr. Roberts attended high school at Pender Public and later attended college at Northeast Community College where he received an Associate of Arts in Accounting, a BAE from Wayne State and is currently completing his masters at Wayne State. Mr. Roberts had been substitute teaching for five years, taught for two years at Pender, three years at a Juvenile Detention Center, and has been teaching here at Wakefield for four years. In Mr. Roberts?s spare time he likes to spend time with his three children and find some time to go fishing in summer. Everything about his job makes him happy, but getting to work with students is especially worthwhile.
The job of Mr. Roberts?s dreams would be a custodian because he loves taking care of floors, cleaning, and maintenance. If he could describe himself in three words they would be organized, punctual, and caring. Mr. Roberts?s favorite dessert would be German Chocolate Cake because it tastes good and he loves coconut frosting. If he could be an animal he would be a bear because he would have fun during the summer and hibernate during the winter, also his daughters call him a grumpy old bear. As for aliens, Mr. Roberts says that no they don?t exist.
