This week's teacher feature is Mr. Clay, one of our social studies teachers. Mr. Michael Lane Clay was born on February 26, 1965 in Osceola, Nebraska. Attending high school at Wakefield, he says that his best memory from school was state football playoffs and the state track meet. Mr. Clay later attended college at several places including, Doane College where he received a BS in sociology, also at Wayne State he received a BAE in social science and a masters in K-12 guidance at Wayne State as well. He has been teaching for fourteen years and says that the best part of his job is teaching the future leaders of our country, and oh yeah, history too. If he could have any other job besides a teacher, Mr. Clay would be a wild life biologist because he loves the great outdoors. The dessert that he loves to enjoy is ho ho cakes because of the chocolate frosting and the cream filling. In his spare time when he isn't teaching history, he enjoys hunting, fishing, reading and watching sports. If you could describe Mr. Clay in three words they would be honest, loyal and calm. When asked if he could be any animal he said he would be a lion because they are strong, brave and of course, they have a lot of hair! As for aliens, Mr. Clay hasn't really thought about it and he thinks maybe they might exist.
