Whose smiling face, do you see bright and early every morning?  That's right, Marcia Kratke.  Maricia Joy Doescher Katke was born on March 6, 19?? In Wakefield.  Marcia graduated from Wakefield in 1967 and says that she had a lot of great times in high school, but her sophomore year was the most fun, it was the hardest, but the most fun.  Later Mrs. Kratke attended college at Nebraska School of Commerce in Omaha.  She has worked at Wakefield Schools for four years, but previously her and her husband owned the C-Store from 1976-1991, and she was the manager of the C-Store for ten years before taking a few months off and then taking the position here at Wakefield.  The best part of Maricia's job here at Wakefield is the kids, co-workers and the numbers, and she says that it's easier to get up in the morning if you have a job that you enjoy and a good pleasant work atmosphere.  She says that she loves her job and is around people all day, and there is always something that happens that never ceases to amaze her.  If she could have another job she says she would be a wedding or event planner because it's great to see everything come together on the big day.  A people person and a workaholic is the way that Mrs. Kratke would describe herself.  She doesn't really have a favorite dessert, but she enjoys reading, golfing and being with her family and friends.  If she could be an animal she says she would be a bird because she could fly anywhere and make beautiful music all the time. As for aliens, well Marcia thinks that maybe they exist.
