Who enjoys reading and gardening in his spare time? That's right, Mr. Moody, our superintendent. Michael Joe Moody was born on July 31, 1951 in Crawford, Nebraska. He attended high school in Crawford, home of the Rams, and says that his best memory from there was his favorite teacher, Mr. Ron Smock, and seeing Robert F. Kennedy a month before his assassination. Mr. Moody later attended college at University of Northern Colorado, Chadron State, University of Nebraska Kearney, University of Nebraska-Lincoln and he is currently attending the University of South Dakota. Mike has been a counselor for seventeen years and a superintendent for thirteen years, and he says that the best part of his job is the fact that through his job, he has the potential to truly make a difference in the lives of young people and in our community, and he serves the common good and it makes him both proud and humble. Mr. Moody also says that he can't imagine himself doing anything else for a living, and when he retires he wants to go back to the classroom.
In the rest of his spare time, if he can find any, Mike enjoys seeing new places. Even though he doesn't like to travel, he likes when he finally arrives to some place new. Pecan pie, or anything sweet for that matter, is what Mr. Moody enjoys best. The three words that would describe Mike the best are me, myself, and I. He says that this may be a wise guy answer, but he couldn't think of anything else. If he could be an animal, Mr. Moody says he would either be a Crawford Ram or maybe a dove. As for aliens, well, he says that yes, they exist because anything is within the realm of possibility, although he has never met one, that he knows of.
