Kindergarten Visit to Borg Farms

The Kindergarten students enjoyed a fun afternoon at Borg Farms on October 26. The field trip was a culminating activity to their unit about fall, harvest and the farm. The children got to go out to a soybean field so they could sit in a real combine and tractor. They spent some time in a machine shed sitting on straw bales finding out just how many of the things we use/eat in everyday life come from the farm. Seeing cattle up close was a big hit with the kids as well as seeing the round hay bales and silage that the cattle eat. The kindergarten wants to thank all of our hosts & hostesses for having us and for the wonderful bag of goodies we got to take home! GO AGRICULTURE!
