On February 27, eight students competed in TEAMS (Tests of Engineering Aptitude in Math and Science) at Wayne State College.
TEAMS is a one day, two-part national competition challenging high school students in grades 9-12 to work together as a team to apply knowledge learned in the classroom to real-world engineering scenarios. Competitions are held on college and university campuses across the country in February and March and inspire creativity, team-work, critical thinking, and peer-to-peer cooperation.
The team, made up of Becky Vraspir, Kristina Lunz, Lexi Nelson, Tyler Bodlak, Kelsey Bard, Lane Clay, Jessica Berns, and Matt Erwin, did not place in the multiple choice section of the test and is still awaiting the results of the essay section.
