Fourth Graders on the Runway

The fourth grade got a chance to showcase their knowledge of rocks and minerals in the First Annual Rocks and Minerals Fashion Show. On January 9, the class gave their rendition of the latest fashion in rocks and minerals.
The class spent a few weeks learning about the various properties and characteristics of a wide range of rocks and minerals. In order to demonstrate what they learned, each pair of students researched a rock or mineral and created a costume that represented that rock or mineral. In addition to creating a costume, they wrote a description of their rock or mineral using dazzling details. For the show, one student modeled the costume and the other was the commentator. The elementary students, staff, and family members got in on the latest fashion. The fourth grade students worked hard to create some great costumes and entertaining descriptions that kept the audience truly amazed and begging for more. The show definitely "rocked"!
