On Thursday, February 18 Mrs. Sharpe’s and Mrs. Kaufman’s preschool classes joined together in the Recreation Center for the Preschool Olympics. Preschool Olympics began with the students parading around the room holding the flags they made and following the torches. The first event was Hug a Balloon Friend Relay. Each preschooler found a friend from the opposite class. Each pair was given a balloon. They had to hug the balloon gently between the two of them and run to the other side of the gym. For the second event, the preschoolers were each given an egg to roll to the middle of the gym with their nose! Next each student was given a spoon with a packing peanut to balance and walk to the other end of the gym. The final event was Sock Ice Skating to music. The Preschool Olympics concluded with a medal ceremony where each child was given a medal for doing an awesome job!
