Meet the High School Principal

Mr. Jason Heitz is the principal at Wakefield Community School for grades 7-12. He began providing leadership to students and staff here in 2007. Prior to his arrival, Mr. Heitz was the high school principal at Pope John XXIII in Elgin, NE and he served as the Athletic Director at Utica-Centennial High School. Mr. Heitz taught secondary science classes prior to becoming a school principal. He earned his Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Doane College.
