Wakefield Community Schools is excited to announce our partnership with ESU 1 and NWEA to offer a new and exciting assessment tool. All students in grades K-12 will take part in the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment beginning within the next few weeks.
MAP is a computerized self-adapting assessment which tailors itself to individual student needs. For example, if a student is achieving above grade level, the assessment will make adaptations with more challenging questions. If a student is struggling, the test will also make those adaptations.
MAP provides valuable feedback to students, teachers and parents which can be used to support classroom instruction. In addition to an assessment tool, which offers classroom support, MAP will also replace the Terra Nova assessment.
