School year off to a great start!

Total PK-12 enrollment of 459

by Jason Heitz

August 23, 2010

The 2010-2011 school year is underway!

Students began the year on August 17 with the traditional flag-raising ceremony.  Elementary students learned about "Filling their Buckets" and high school students learned about "Expect Respect."

In the elementary, students are asked "Have you filled your bucket today?"  Students and teachers are placing "drops in a bucket" representing good deeds and positive characteristics and actions.  Students and/or teachers are being recognized regularly for these actions.  This theme replaces last year's "Nice Bike" theme.

In the high school, the "Positive Action" recognition of the past few years has evolved into "Respectful Actions."  Students will be recognized on a regular basis for showing respect for themselves, their peers, and their school.  Students are being told that we "Expect Respect."

School year off to a great start!
