The Wakefield elementary students were recently invited to participate in the 2012 Illustrator Contest, sponsored by the Library Media Center. Several great illustrations were entered and were judged by senior art students. We'd like to thank the Art students & Mr. Hassler and wish to congratulate the following winners:

From the ALA website: The Caldecott Medal "shall be awarded to the artist of the most distinguished American Picture Book for Children published in the United States during the preceding year.
