Monsters in the Library!

The Scholastic Book Fair is around the corner

September 08, 2015

The Wakefield School Library's Scholastic Book Fair arrives at the end of September and will bring a Monster-load of terrific books for readers of all ages.

Reading for pleasure, both at home and at school, has real and long-lasting benefits.  It unlocks the power of imagination and knowledge and helps children discover who they are and their place in the world.  Parents and caregivers can help nurture life-long reading by allowing children to see their parents reading routinely,  by visiting libraries and keeping a collection of books at home, and by allowing children to choose their own books.
