Five Headed to State Speech

5 students, 4 different events

      Five students qualified for the State Speech Contest during the C2-2 District Speech Contest held in Louisville last Wednesday, March 16, 2016. The team place fourth overall; Cross County, first; Howells-Dodge,second; Oakland-Craig, third. Students had to place in the top three to earn a spot in the state com Five students qualified for the State Speech Contest during the C2-2 District Speech Contest held in Louisville last Wednesday, March 16, 2016.

    The team place fourth overall: Cross County, first; Howells-Dodge, second; Oakland-Craig, third. Students had to place in the top three to earn a spot in the state completion. Wakefield state qualifiers include the second place OID (Oral Interpretation of Drama): Isabella Silva-Goos, Tiffany Saquique, Payton Rusk and Katelyn Pommer; the second and third place duets: Isabella Silva Goos & Tiffany Saquique, and Payton Rusk & Emmalee Pommer; and third place Serious Prose: Emmalee Pommer. Other district medalists include  Victoria Frahm, 4th in Entertainment;  Zoe Conley, 6th in Informative; Avery Zamzow, 5th in Poetry; Danielle Gilliland, Victoria Frahm, Avery Zamzow, Camille Armitage, and Avery Zamzow in OID. The qualifiers will compete at the State Speech Contest at UNK on Thursday, March 24.petion.
