Concussion Management Policy

Includes valuable info for Parents

Click on the link below to view the Wakefield Community School concussion management policy.  Included in this policy: the school protocal for dealing with concussions, various forms the school uses to assess concussions, and valuable information for parents.  Parents of any jr. high or high school athlete should receive (or have received) concussion information, and returned a signature sheet, signifying your receipt of the information.  The policy also contains are "Return to Learn" and "Return to Play" protocol.  Wakefield follows the general policy of "If in doubt, sit them out."

A reminder that, although concussions can happen in any sport, they can also occur at home or away from school (some examples might be a fall on the ice, or a motor vehicle accident).
