Children's Book Week

Children's Book Week was celebrated November 3-9 with the Library Media Center sponsoring a Young Illustrators Contest to promote excitement about reading. Students in grades K-6 were asked to create an original illustration about a scene from their favorite book. They were encouraged to use any method, crayons, pencils, paint, cut-outs, fabric, play-dough, 3-D objects, photographs, etc. On Friday, student judges from high school art awarded ribbons to the best and most creative efforts. The winners were:
6th Grade - Best in Class: Lauren L., Samantha B.

5th Grade - Best in Class: Tamber H., Ryan B.

3rd Grade - Best in Class: Matthew C., Isaac C.
