Wakefield sophomores enjoyed a day of career exploration on Tuesday, October 19, at Wayne State College. Over 1,000 students from area schools in Northeast Nebraska attended. Due to COVID safety measures still in place, the welcome and motivational message from WSC and UN-L extension staff were prerecorded for students to listen to before arriving on campus to avoid a large group gathering. Once on campus, students attended three 30-minute career sessions and two breakout sessions with larger groups. Students signed up for their career and breakout topic choices last May. The day was very educational. Students enjoyed learning about careers, meeting other students, and eating at the college cafeteria. This event was hosted by UN-L in conjunction with Nebraska Extension offices.
