Wayne State College hosted their 46th Annual WSC Math Contest on Friday, May 6th. Nine students from Wakefield competed with students from around twenty schools from Nebraska and Iowa.  Five students placed in the top 10 of their divisions.  In Pre-Algebra, Jacob Borg finished 4th and Sierra Kaufman finished 7th. In the Algebra division, Tim Kaufman placed 9th. Ashlyn Boeckenhauer placed 5th in the Geometry division, while Emma Rapper finished 9th among the Pre-Calculus test takers.  Besides taking a forty-question math test, students competed in Jeopardy, attended a Planetarium Show and were treated to lunch at the college’s cafeteria.
