Our high school students participated in Hispanic Heritage Month by dressing up throughout the week. Led by our One World Club, these activities encouraged all students to celebrate their roots, embrace their cultural backgrounds, and recognize the diversity that makes our school community special.

1st & 3rd grade rocking a rainy pajama Tuesday!

We have been busy learning about our many character strengths at Wakefield over the past several weeks! Your students should be able to tell you all about their strengths of Other People Mindset, Curiosity, Teamwork, Open-Mindedness, Being Present and Giving Others My Attention, Perspective, and Forgiveness. As we review these strengths this week, please consider checking out the family resources P2 offers so you can continue these conversations at home!

Juniors and seniors had the opportunity to attend the Latino Summit at Northeast Community College. During the event, students listened to a motivational speaker, toured the campus, visited dorm rooms, collaborated with other students, and enjoyed lunch on campus. Students also had the opportunity to participate in a raffle for $1,000 scholarships. Congratulations to Jennifer Lopez Hernandez and Angie Miranda Gomez for winning the scholarships!
