We are so excited to celebrate another one of our outstanding seniors, Kinslee Metzler! Kinslee has been selected for the Kearney Law Opportunities Program (KLOP) at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. This is a huge accomplishment as it fully covers her undergrad tuition at UNK, and it guarantees her a spot in law school at UNL.
Kinslee is the definition of well-rounded and driven. She’s involved in NHS, FCCLA, FBLA, and competes in basketball, volleyball, and track- all while being a great role model for those around her.
We are so proud of you, Kinslee! Wakefield will definitely miss you, but we have no doubt you’re going to do amazing things and accomplish every goal you set your sights on. Congratulations!

The Wakefield Speech Team attended the Homer Knight invite on Saturday, February 7th. Kinslee Metzler and Sawyer Brudigam placed 1st in Varsity Duet. Sawyer Brudigam placed 5th inVarsity persuasive.

After reviewing attendance trends and feedback, we've found that many parents prefer email/phone communication, with lower turnout for spring conferences. To prioritize student learning and full instructional days during spring assessments, formal spring conferences won't be scheduled this year.
Communication remains a top priority!
➡️ Monitor progress via mid-quarter reports, report cards, and PowerSchool (Gr. 4–12)
➡️Use progress reports/report cards for Preschool–Gr. 3 (improvements in progress)
➡️Contact teachers or principals anytime with questions or to arrange a face-to-face meeting
