On Thursday, April 2nd, the seniors hit the road for an unforgettable school-sponsored field trip. The seniors took off for Thunder Road in Sioux Falls to enjoy a variety of activities. These activities included the 7D movie theater, laser tag, bowling, arcade games, and bumper cars. The day wrapped up with a special stop at Sidelines, where our seniors made their mark—literally—by signing the Wakefield High School graduates’ wall. As the countdown to graduation begins, we couldn’t be prouder of this incredible group. The future’s looking bright, Class of 2026- go shine!

Unfortunate but true, we do not live in Augusta National Golf Club, and cold-weather golf is a solid 0/10.

The first meet of the year at Wayne (April 2) has been cancelled. Here's to hoping the golfers can tee it high and let it fly on April 7th!

The Nebraska Department of Education recognizes six different career clusters which helps guide our career readiness education. The clusters are: Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources; Health Sciences; Communication and Information Systems; Business, Marketing, and Management; Human Services and Education; and Skilled and Technical Sciences. In the elementary, Mrs. Vinchattle teaches about opportunities in these career clusters as part of classroom guidance lessons. This year, she would like to tap into our community to find guest speakers from each cluster to share their experiences with students. If you are interested in being a guest speaker for classroom guidance lessons this Spring, please reach out to Mrs. Vinchattle at bvinchattle@wakefieldschools.org. Guidance lessons occur every day from 2-3:30 for grades K-6 and the career unit will begin on April 8. Thank you for your consideration!
