Mayte Flores, alongside Nebraska CTSO State Officer teams, kicked off Career and Technical Education Month at the Nebraska State Capitol by advocating for the importance of CTE with Nebraska Senators.

Alexandra has been selected as a Career Scholar at Wayne State College—a competitive and prestigious honor!

As a Career Scholar, Alexandra can receive up to $33,000 in scholarship support over four years and will earn college credit while getting paid to work during her senior year. Even better, she’ll gain real-world experience in her career field and build connections with businesses to help secure meaningful employment after graduation.

Alexandra plans to pursue a career in Business and stays incredibly busy being involved in FBLA, One World Club, serving as a Social Media Intern, and working two jobs outside of school. She is an exceptional student and one we are incredibly proud to call a Trojan. Congratulations, Alexandra! Your future is looking very bright.

We are so excited to celebrate Sierra Kaufman, who has earned the Presidential Scholarship to Wayne State College. This incredible scholarship covers full tuition + half of housing, is renewable for four years, and requires a 30+ ACT- wow!

Sierra plans to pursue physical therapy and has been busy making the most of her high school years through National Honor Society, FBLA, FCCLA, FCA, basketball, volleyball, and track.

We are incredibly proud to call her a Trojan and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll do. Bright future ahead, Sierra!

Saturday, January 31, the Wakefield Speech Team attended the HNS/CCHS Speech Meet in Hartington. Sawyer and Kinslee earned 1st Place in JV Duet with a perfect score in finals. Congrats to the team on a great day! o

A great day on Wednesday, January 28, for the Wakefield Speech Team at the Howells-Dodge meet! Nate 1st JV Humorous Prose and Colt Lynn 2nd JV Extemp. Congrats all!

Jackson Roeber, Blakely Bartels, Arieli Peralta, Henry Craig, and Evelyn Smith traveled to Allen to compete in the Dixon County Spelling Bee. Evelyn, Henry, Jackson, and Blakely advanced to compete in the oral round of competition. Blakely placed 5th, Evelyn placed 4th, and Henry placed third in the contest. Congratulations spellers!
