After School Piñata Club
Yesterday the first graders celebrated the 50th day of school in style! We went back in time to the 1950s and learned all about the music, food, clothing, toys, and cars of that era. We compared children of the 50s to ourselves and wrote about the similarities and differences. We did ALL things 50 - played games, skip counted, watched cartoons, and listened to the classic music of the times. At the end of the day, we enjoyed a classic root beer float along with some good 'ol "Tom and Jerry!" Stroll through the 1950s with us by enjoying the pictures from our special day!

🎃🦇 Halloween Reminder for Thursday 🦇🎃
Preschool through 3rd grade students at Wakefield Elementary School will participate in the annual costume parade on Thursday, Oct. 31. Students are asked to bring their costumes to school. They will change into them at the end of the day and will parade for residents of the Wakefield Care Center around 2:30 p.m. Students will parade down Main Street around 2:50 p.m. and will return to school for regular dismissal at 3:35 p.m. If you do not want your child to participate in the costume parade, please contact your child's teacher.
5th grade enjoyed the nice weather last week and got the chance to let their creativity shine!

🛑 Red Ribbon Week - Next Week 🛑
🎨✨ This week, our students tapped into their creative side with a fun challenge! Each student painted a masterpiece while their partner had to guess what they were creating. The results? Laughter, some "abstract" guesses, and tons of artistic energy! 😄🎉 A big shoutout to our artists for showing off their creativity and teamwork and Mrs. Hansen for facilitating this fun Positivity Project activity.
