Mr. Chase’s woodshop class teamed up with the 3rd grade to make their Christmas gifts this year. How cool is that?!

Julie Schultz from the UNL Extension office is spending some time during the next couple of weeks with our 6th graders, teaching them about DNA. Students will be learning how our DNA impacts what we look like, among other things. Our first day was yummy!

Winter Dance Information
Entry Fee Options:
👉 To enter the dance, you may bring ONE of the following:
A non-perishable food item, or a monetary donation of $5

👉All food items and donations will be collected to support our local community, so your entry helps make a difference!

Important reminders:
👉 Students will be breathalyzed before entering the dance. Doors will open at 6:30 PM and close at 7:30 PM. Please be there on time in order to enter.

Out of Town Dates
👉Out-of-town dates are allowed, but you must complete the required approval process: Pick up an Out-of-Town Date Form from the main office, complete the form, and return it to the office by Friday, January 16, at 4:00 PM

1st Semester & 2nd Quarter Honor Roll

On Thursday, January 8, 17 students competed in the Wakefield Schools Spelling Bee. The top five spellers will move on to compete at the Dixon County Spelling Bee in Allen. Winners were Arieli Peralta (5th Place), Jackson Roeber (4th Place), Blakely Bartels (3rd Place), Henry Craig (2nd Place), and Evelyn Smith (1st Place). Congratulations and good luck, Spellers!
