Game Changes....

The weather is changing and getting COLD very quickly. If you or your child is in need of a winter coat please contact Mrs. Galles or the school office. mgalles@wakefieldschools.org Huge thank you to everyone that donated to the Winter Coat Drive.
Just a reminder, in order to play in the snow, kids must have both snow pants and snow boots. If they don't, then they can only play on the cement. Also, if the feels like temperature is above 10 degrees, we will go outside.

Who is the teacher behind our social media? Who is the teacher that makes our school smell heavenly? Finally, who is the teacher (besides Kari Rooney) who has the ability to recite Taylor Swift lyrics from heart? If you guessed Michelle Galles, Wakefield's very own Family and Consumer Science teacher, you would be correct. Did she write this post about herself? No, but she certainly deserves some recognition. As you can see from the photo, Mrs. Galles has a real passion for what she teaches and she inspires all students not only in the classroom but outside of it as well. As the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America club advisor and National Honor Society advisor, she helps students organize projects that have significant positive impacts on the local community. She teaches students skills that they can utilize for life, ensuring her students are well-equipped for the challenges of the real world. Her love for Family Consumer Science is contagious, igniting a fire in her students to delve deeper, question more, and strive for excellence in all they do. Today, we tip our hats to Mrs. Galles for being more than a teacher – a mentor, a motivator, and a driving force behind the success stories of many. You make the whole school shimmer!
