The Wakefield Speech Team attended the Battle Creek Braves Classic Meet on Saturday, February 22. Nineteen schools were in attendance. The group did an amazing job! They experienced a lot of growth and came home with a few medals.
Sawyer Brudigam & Kinslee Metzler placed 1st in the Varsity Duet Merit Round.

Today, our amazing 9th graders focused on cheering each other on and building each other up (literally and figuratively)! 💪
First up, they tackled the River Crossing Challenge, where they worked together to "raft" across the "river" without touching the floor and retrieve the treasure. 🏝️🏆 They learned the magic of communication, positive reinforcement, and that sometimes slow and steady wins the race! 🐢✨
Next, it was time for some engineering fun with Tower Building. Armed with paper and teamwork, they brainstormed strategies and worked together to construct the tallest towers. The key? Communication, creativity, and collaboration.
To wrap up this awesome class, they poured their positivity into letters for our wrestlers, Naomi and Domingo, celebrating their hard work and cheering them on.
Way to go, Freshmen! You're building not just towers but strong bonds and brighter futures. 🌟

The Girls State Wrestling Tournament begins today, with Class B Competition starting at 4 PM. Naomi Nelson will be representing the Trojans in the 135-pound weight class. We wish Naomi the best of luck and Go Trojans!!
